Weekly goals and family pictures

Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to all those who have served and are currently serving. I’m so incredibly grateful for all those that sacrifice to serve our country=)

This weekend was a great eye opener for me. If you missed my last 2 posts, you can find them here and here. I’m ready for this week and super excited to turn up my workouts!

Yesterday was my rest day, and we headed to church. It has been so beautiful out, so we decided to get our family pictures done this weekend instead of next. I got J ready and asked him to show me his smile, this is what I got. Good thing we practiced before the real pictures, it’s just a little creepy. Oh and don’t mind the toilet in the background. . .

20131110-213619.jpgI’ve passed these abandoned rail roads a thousand times on my runs, so I thought it would be fun to get our pics here. Well, apparently a lot of other families did too. We made do and I think the pics turned out great!

My sister in law Whitney is a photographer and took our pics. I love her style, you can find her blog here.

Later we headed to my in laws for dinner. It was delicious as always. As we were leaving, J threw a tantrum. Ya, he’s a bit dramatic about his candy being all gone. I’m not sure where he gets that from 😉

20131110-213638.jpgLast Week Goals

This month is the Pile on the Miles challenge and Runovember. So here are my goals

1. Run 15 miles a week(POM goal)- check, squeaked in at 16 miles

2. do 2 strength training workouts a week (POM goal)-fail, only did 1 leg workout

3. Run at least 1 mile a day minus Sunday(Runovember goal)-fail, I missed one day

New Goals

They are the same as last week, but I want to add goals to my runs:

1. Do 1 tempo run

2. Run outside 3 times

What are your goals?

Did you enjoy your weekend?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.
