What you do when you’ve had enough of the treadmill

Wednesday- 3 miles on treadmill + shoulder workout

I was really hoping to run outside yesterday since Josh was working from home. Unfortunately, it was still freezing, icy, and the air quality is so disgusting! So, to the treadmill I went. What do you do when you’ve had enough of the treadmill?

You run anyways! Oh, and do a shoulder circuit every mile. It felt fantastic, in a hurts so good kinda way. These were my 2 favorite moves.

20131218-190625.jpgAfter getting some laundry done, I decided to make the best invention in the world. . .cookie dough chocolate balls. Instead of eggs, you use cream cheese and it’s the best tasting things I’ve ever had.

20131218-190704.jpgThen I had semi healthy lunch of french dip but with ham and lots of onion and green pepper(smothered in cheese, just the way I like it).

Josh and I finished up most of our Christmas shopping together at Scheels. It’s an amazing store. J was checking out the fish tank and their was a guy inside cleaning it. He came down and waved at J. It totally freaked him out and he started running away saying, “I scared!” haha

Have you ever been scuba diving?

I totally want to, but I might get freaked out!

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  7. YES to the cookie dough ball recipe!! I have been SCUBA certified since 16 and have gone a few times. It’s amazing.

  8. I love Scheels! They have so much great stuff! Also, I’m liking the new name, what made you decide to change?

    • Thanks Katie! I never liked my original one, it’s just the first thing that came to my mind when I started the blog ha and I hated how long it was. I think the new name describes me more as a person and it’s fun=)

  9. Scheels sounds like a really cool store! And I love me some cookie dough!

  10. Definitely interested in the cookie dough ball recipe please! Also, I hate the treadmill so hats off to ya. I try and switch up my cardio consistently though. I do the stairmaster, bike, outdoor runs, and elliptical.

  11. I have not been into the new Scheels, but next time I come down I am definetly checking it out!

  12. Those cookie dough balls sounds amazing! I’ve made cookie dough without eggs before too to put in ice cream but the idea of using cream cheese in the dough would be ever better! I’d love that recipe! I love to snorkel but I don’t think I’ll ever go scuba diving. One of my friends goes with her husband a lot and they recently saw a SHARK – yikes! No thank you! I’ll stick to the surface of the water!

  13. YES! Share the recipe! and the goodies! 🙂 and poor little J. That sounds too cute though.
